Tim Goldburn

Clinical Negligence/Personal Injury Lawyer

In the early 1980s Tim joined Henry Preston to set up Preston Goldburn and he has been a claimant’s solicitor specialising in clinical negligence claims for more than 20 years. Tim is a member of the Law Society Clinical Negligence Accreditation Panel.

A Designated Civil Judge recently said of Tim “The DCJ wants to make it clear that she considers the conduct of Mr Goldburn to have been exemplary in its fairness and elucidation of the correct legal principals for the District Judge.”

AvMA have previously said of Tim Goldburn: “The committee was impressed by the lengths you went to on behalf of your clients. They noted that whilst some of the cases did take quite a long time to reach a satisfactory conclusion this time reflected the difficulties you had with evidence and ongoing refusal of the defendants to admit liability in the face of overwhelming evidence against them.”

Chambers and Partners say “Tim Goldburn of Preston Goldburn is well regarded by peers and has been a clinical negligence claimant specialist for over 20 years.”

Tim lectures other lawyers around the country on hospital acquired infections and is a Past President of the Cornwall Law Society (2010 – 2011). In his spare time Tim enjoys diving and is a Dive Supervisor for Falmouth Dive Club and can be found exploring wrecks from the Lizard to Dodman point. He is also the RNLI Sea Safety adviser attached to Falmouth Lifeboat Station and gives free safety advice to small boat owners and fellow divers.
